Congolese are against the appointment of General Charles Bisengima as the new boss of the Police Service in the DR Congo. The security capo has been indicted by an International Non-governmental Commission of Inquiry with 19 crimes. His appointment follows the dismissal of former head General John Numbi. There we go again. Another useless and stupid coup d’etat in Guinea just hours after the former president Lansana Conte died. A gang of thieves and riff-raffs in military uniforms have rubbished the supreme document – Constitution – of the West African State and installed themselves as new leaders.

So a powerless local journalist mustered courage to throw his “size 10” shoes at the world’s most powerful man when he visited Iraq? That sounds incredible and no wonder the news spread like an inferno worldwide. Muntadar al-Zeidi, a reporter with Al-Baghdadiya TV channel is the subject of criticisms, insults and in some quarters a hero. Whatever being the case al-Zeidi was totally wrong with his actions and absolutely right with his intentions.
