After reading the news report below tell me if I am making the wrong decision to become Ghana’s next president in 2013.
Ghana is rewarding its former president with a grandeur retirement package that is already raising serious concerns in the West African country. The presidential committee on emolument recommended a lavish living for ex-president John Kufuor, who stepped down voluntarily on January 7 2009.

Former president J.J Rawlings is not happy his ally and incumbent Atta-Mills ordered local government officials of the past NPP regime to remain at post pending new appointments. Africa faces ‘centuries’ of poverty

Extreme poverty would continue to hit sub-Saharan Africa out of 80 countries for another 200 years, latest research revealed January. Unless poverty intervention actions are intensified the situation would be worse, the report conducted by Social Watch, a network of campaigning groups added. The group uses “basic capabilities index” to assess the level of hardship throughout the world.
