President J.A Kufuor of Ghana has proven that he is a true democrat though not firm enough when he issued a statement on Friday to urge his ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to accept the final decision of the Electoral Commission (EC). He said any party that finds the EC’s declaration unsatisfactory could later resort to the courts for redress. His party has run to court to prevent the EC from declaring the result as well as going ahead to hold the last lap of election in the Tain district of Ghana’s Brong Ahafo region to determine the winner.
